Girl power gets a boost
Kindred, a Philippine femtech startup, has successfully raised $5.5 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Integra Partners.
The company, which aims to make women’s health services more accessible in the Philippines, has already served over 20,000 clients through its online clinic and single physical location.
Impressively, more than 40% of these clients have returned for multiple visits.
From screens to clinics
Launched in 2021 with telehealth and virtual clinic services, Kindred expanded to include its first in-person clinic in 2023.
The startup boasts a network of 70+ doctors across 25 sub-categories, offering a wide range of services including general medicine, OBGYN, mental health, infertility, dermatology consultations, and wellness services.
Kindred also provides corporate packages and B2B2C services, expanding beyond individual consumers.
The funding round, which includes $2.5 million already secured and commitments for an additional $3 million upon reaching key milestones, will fuel Kindred’s ambitious growth plans.
The startup aims to launch 10 additional clinics by year-end, enhance its digital platforms, and improve both new and existing services.
This expansion underscores the growing demand for accessible women’s health services in the Philippines and the potential for femtech in the region.
