Desk jockeys rejoice

JustCo, the Singapore-based co-working space operator, has turned the corner on profitability, reporting US$1.3 million in operating income for 2023, a significant improvement from its US$15.9 million loss in 2022.

This positive shift comes despite industry concerns following WeWork’s bankruptcy last year. The company’s success stems from a 14.9% revenue increase to US$113.8 million and strategic cost management.

JustCo’s exit from challenging markets in China and Indonesia in late 2022 has allowed it to focus on more profitable regions.

Membership fees remain the primary revenue driver, contributing 87% of total income.

Beyond the cubicle

JustCo isn’t resting on its laurels. JustCo has expanded into airport locations, partnered with gaming brand Razer, and launched a professional services platform.

These initiatives, coupled with plans for new co-working centers in 2025, demonstrate JustCo’s commitment to innovation in the flexible workspace sector.
