YouTube most trusted
In a recent survey on tech perceptions, YouTube emerges as the most trusted major social platform among skeptical Generation Z users. Asked to rate leading sites, 59% of adult Gen Z respondents called YouTube very or somewhat trustworthy.
Instagram followed remotely at 40% trustworthiness, but opinions diverged on Mark Zuckerberg’s photo-sharing app. Almost as many, 45%, deemed it very or somewhat untrustworthy amid growing wariness.

Gen Z’s Trust Issues
Gen Z showed less faith in other top players like Facebook, slamming it as 60% untrustworthy. Citing past scandals, only 28% found it reliable. Meanwhile, 57% believed rising star TikTok is untrustworthy, pressing ByteDance’s video giant.
The poll indicates Gen Z favors YouTube above competitors, even as tech faces youth pushback. Still, the Google video platform isn’t immune either, with 28% also calling it untrustworthy. As platforms wrestle for the next generation, inspiring trust may require confronting skepticism.
