The “YouTube Create” app

YouTube has expanded its video creation app, YouTube Create, to 13 additional markets following its initial beta launch last fall.

The app is now available in a total of 21 countries.

YouTube Create offers tools like effects, music, and editing capabilities to help creators quickly produce short videos optimized for YouTube Shorts or longer videos.

It aims to compete with TikTok’s built-in creative features.

The app allows creating, editing, and uploading videos completely on mobile.

Included features and tools

Key features include audio cleanup, voiceovers, automatic captions, and direct YouTube publishing.

After debuting in the US, Asia, and parts of Europe, YouTube Create is now available in new markets like Brazil, Canada, Australia, and Spain.

YouTube hopes the app will attract creators who prefer standalone video editing tools.
