X gon’ give it to ya!
Elon Musk, the mastermind behind X (formerly Twitter), is toying with the idea of creating an X phone.
This revelation comes hot on the heels of his threats to ban iPhones and other Apple devices from his companies.
When a user predicted that X would team up with Samsung to manufacture an X phone, Musk cryptically replied, “It is not out of the question.”
Apple’s AI ambitions: Musk says no way
The billionaire’s beef with Apple stems from the tech giant’s plan to integrate OpenAI’s technology into its software. Apple wants to give users the option to buddy up with ChatGPT in Siri, iOS 18, iPad OS 18, and macOS Sequoia later this year.
Musk, who cofounded OpenAI in 2015 but jumped ship from its board in 2018, is not a fan of this move.
He called the integration “an unacceptable security violation” and threatened to make visitors to his companies check their Apple devices at the door, locking them up in a Faraday cage (a fancy container that blocks some electromagnetic radiation).
The tech world waits with bated breath to see if Musk will follow through on his threats and if the X phone will become a reality.
