- Instagram becomes most used app among US teens
- TikTok ranks second in usage but first in preference
- Snapchat experiences decline in teen usage
The Gram Grabs Gen Z
Instagram has surged to become the most used social media app among US teens, according to Piper Sandler’s latest survey.

A whopping 87% of teens reported using Instagram at least once a month, marking an all-time high since the survey’s inception in 2016.
TikTok’s Tick-Tock to the Top
TikTok secured the second spot in usage but clinched the title of most liked app. The short-form video platform continues to captivate teens, demonstrating its strong hold on youth culture despite ongoing regulatory challenges.

Snap’s Slippery Slope
Snapchat, once the darling of teen communication, has seen a significant drop in both usage and popularity. This decline could spell trouble for a company that has long prided itself on its youth appeal, potentially signaling a shift in the social media landscape.
