Airwallex, the global fintech powerhouse, has expanded its payment acceptance services to the US, ushering in a new era of seamless cross-border transactions.

Conquering one country at a time

A year after its Canadian, Chinese, and Israeli launches, and following the acquisition of a Mexican fintech firm, Airwallex now enables US businesses to accept both domestic and international payments with ease.

Foreign companies operating stateside can now offer localized payment options, catering to American consumer preferences.

Cross-border merchants can now offer a diverse range of payment methods, from the US-favored Klarna and PayPal to region-specific options like GrabPay, all in one fell swoop.

“We’re empowering US companies to tap into a global customer base and helping businesses worldwide access the massive US market,” remarked Ravi Adusumili, Airwallex’s executive general manager of the Americas.

Singapore swing: a fintech fairy tale

Airwallex’s Singapore operations have witnessed staggering growth, with revenue and transaction volumes skyrocketing 13x and 11x, respectively, in the first half of 2023 compared to the previous year.

Founded in 2015 by Jack Zhang and Max Li, Airwallex now operates in 35 countries, offering global account issuance, domestic and cross-border money transfers, multicurrency wallets, and online payment acceptance services.
