Indonesia’s digital powerhouse GoTo Group has appointed William Xiong as its new Group Chief Technology Officer. Xiong, formerly a Vice President at Alibaba Cloud, brings over 25 years of software and product development experience to the table.
His impressive resume includes stints at Ant Group, where he spearheaded e-wallet implementations across Asia.

During his time at Ant Group, Xiong played a crucial role in developing major e-wallet platforms.
He led projects for PayTM in India, Dana in Indonesia, and Gcash in the Philippines, among others. His expertise extends to B2B payments, having served as CTO of Worldfirst under Ant International.

Xiong’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for GoTo. The company aims to broaden its mass market appeal through innovative products leveraging its extensive Indonesian ecosystem.
