Tech Giants and Schools

Join Forces IBM has announced a collaboration Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, and Junior Achievement to provide free AI training.

The initiative aims to reach approximately 4,500 students and adult learners by the end of 2025.

Leveraging IBM’s SkillsBuild platform, participants will access 1,000 tech-related courses, focusing on AI, data science, and cybersecurity.

Polytechnics Embrace AI Curriculum

Both polytechnics plan to integrate SkillsBuild resources into their existing programs.

Singapore Polytechnic will incorporate AI courses into computing modules, encouraging students to pursue IBM professional certifications.

Republic Polytechnic intends to enhance its curriculum, particularly in data science and AI skills.

Preparing the Workforce for an AI-Driven Future

This collaboration aligns Singapore’s educational efforts its national AI strategy.

Minister of State for Digital Development and Information Rahayu Mahzam emphasized the importance of building an AI-equipped workforce.

The initiative aims to prepare youth for a rapidly changing job market by integrating AI education and digital literacy into vocational training.
