Komerce, an Indonesian startup providing end-to-end e-commerce solutions for SMEs, has raised an undisclosed seed round from Achmad Zaky, founder of Bukalapak and 500 Global.
Tapping into opportunities
Founded in 2020 by Nofi Bayu Darmawan, Komerce offers services, including remote e-commerce teams, to help SMEs sell online.
The company has 25,000 SMEs on its platform, which saw over 2 million transactions in 2023. Komerce claims profitability since early 2022 and 300% revenue growth last year.
The new funding will support product development and expansion into new markets as e-commerce penetration in Indonesia grows. Indonesia’s e-commerce penetration reached 32.1% in 2023 and is projected to hit 46.5% by 2028.
Driving digital transformation
Backing from the Bukalapak founder and 500 Global places Komerce to capitalize on Indonesia’s fast-growing e-commerce sector.
The startup aims to empower SMEs to sell online and tap into the country’s expanding digital economy.
