The AI Search feature keeps users up-to-date on the latest news in real-time, while the app also generates images and customized AI characters.
Blending AI flavors for the perfect mix
The company recently secured a pre-series B funding round of 25 billion won ($18.3 million), led by Hong Kong-based equity firm BRV Capital Management.
Prior investors, including Z Venture Capital, Capstone Partners, and the Industrial Bank of Korea, also participated in the round, demonstrating their confidence in Wrtn’s potential.
Blending the Best of AI Founded in 2021 by Lee Se-young, Wrtn Technologies merges cutting-edge large language models like OpenAI’s GPT-4, Stable Diffusion 3, and Anthropic’s Claude 3.
The Korean startup generates revenue from advertising and premium content fees, focusing on users under 30, who make up about 70% of new users.
Spreading the AI love
Having already served 3.7 million users in South Korea and Japan, Wrtn Technologies has set its sights on the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
The company aims to keep its services free for most users, ensuring accessibility to its innovative AI technology.
Despite the dwindling chip stockpiles in South Korea, the AI industry continues to thrive, generative AI projected to reach a market size of $710 million this year.
