- Genesys acquired Singapore social media analytics startup Radarr to expand consumer insights.
- Radarr’s real-time platform visualizes social data for sales and support.
- Deal marks successful exit for Radarr after raising $1M pre-series A in 2021.
Customer experience software provider Genesys announced this week that it has acquired Singapore-based startup Radarr Technologies, maker of an AI-powered social listening and analytics platform. The terms of the acquisition, which is expected to close in Q1 2025, were not disclosed.
How it started
Founded in 2013 by Ram Bhamidi and Prerna Pant, Radarr (formerly known as Circus Social) helps companies gather real-time consumer insights from social media and other digital platforms.
Its technology then visualizes the data and provides actionable analytics through dashboards and reporting.
Allowing to expand consumer engagements
According to Genesys CEO and Chairman Tony Bates, the acquisition will allow Genesys to expand its consumer engagement capabilities across marketing, sales, and service channels.
“As consumers increasingly turn to social media platforms to connect with brands for support, these channels become a crucial and largely untapped opportunity for organizations to engage with customers and glean valuable business insights,” said Bates.
Raised $1M in a pre-series A funding
Prior to the acquisition, Radarr had raised $1 million in a 2021 pre-Series A funding round.
The company has customers in Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, the Middle East, and the US. The Genesys deal marks an exit for Radarr’s early investors.
