Singapore’s AI ambitions soared as Oracle announced its plan to provide free AI training to 10,000 students and professionals over three years.

Aligning seamlessly with the city-state’s goal of tripling its AI talent pool to 15,000 within five years, this initiative grants participants entry-level training through Oracle University in AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.

Oracle’s cloud supremacy reigns

Leveraging its competitive pricing, Oracle emerges a formidable contender in cloud computing services.

CEO Safra Catz attributes Oracle’s success to its database management expertise, prioritizing data security and sovereignty.

Facilitating this AI training effort, Oracle’s second data center in Singapore is slated for launch by July.

Roaring tech education in the Lion City

For over 15 years, Oracle nurtured tech education in Singapore, sponsoring internships and apprenticeship programs at polytechnics.

The Lion City blossomed into an AI development hub, attracting initiatives from ByteDance, Google, Nvidia, and potential investment from Temasek into ChatGPT maker OpenAI.
