Venture capital firm Flourish Ventures appointed Ravi Kaushik as Executive Director and Head of Asia Investments.
He will spearhead the firm’s fintech investments and portfolio management in Southeast Asia and India.
Experienced investor joins the rodeo
Kaushik expressed enthusiasm for these “fast-growing regions,” citing “a multi-decade opportunity to invest in and build alongside some of the best founders.”
Before joining Flourish Ventures, Kaushik served as CFO of Agro.Club, a US-based grain-trading platform. He brings over 15 years of experience operating businesses and investing across venture capital and private equity.
Notably, Kaushik was a founding member at Indian VC firm WaterBridge Ventures, which he exited in 2023.
Cashing in on fintech’s future
US-headquartered Flourish Ventures, focusing on fintech, secured US$350 million in funding last year, bringing its total assets under management to US$850 million globally.
Armed with increased capital and talent, the firm aims to enhance fintech investments in the US, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
As of October 2023, Flourish Ventures had invested in over 71 fintech startups worldwide, counting eBay founder Pierre Omidyar as its sole limited partner.
