I owe everything in life and business to this 1 crucial skill:
I call it the “Resistance Wall” Principle
In any activity you do, you will reach what I call the resistance wall.
Think of the last run you took. At some point, no matter what your fitness level, your body will start to become exhausted.
You will be compelled to stop.
But this is your brain creating the resistance wall. It’s fabricated.
𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀…
I’m willing to put in an unreasonable amount of repetition and push past my resistance wall.
That’s it.
Some examples:
• I went on 150+ first dates before I met my amazing wife
• I met with 250 investors to raise money for my first company
• I posted 200+ pieces of content on social media last year
I compressed a decade of learning into 5 months when I raised money for my first company.
If you study the famous creators, they do this too:
Picasso cranked out 2 pieces of art per day over 78 years.
Thomas Edison had 1,000+ patents.
Mozart produced 600+ compositions.
Let that sink in…
It’s not just a matter of time. It’s a matter of 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. And those who push past their resistance wall achieve an exponentially higher volume of production throughout their life.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂?
1. Increase the volume
2. Learn to identify your resistance wall
3. Push through
Grit is a muscle. Working that muscle is a practice that will better your life. I guarantee it.
