- Notion launches standalone calendar and scheduling app.
- Features include booking tools and deep Notion integration.
- Modern take on calendaring adds convenience to Notion’s suite.
Workspace startup Notion launched a standalone calendar product called Notion Calendar this week – an evolution of the acquired calendar app Cron, which is now integrated natively with Notion’s productivity suite.
The multi-platform scheduling app also packs a built-in booking tool akin to Calendly.
Going beyond basic calendaring
Beyond basic calendaring, key features include attaching Notion documents to events, syncing Notion task data with the calendar, minimalist design, and video call integrations. Users can also securely share availability for meetings and enable others to book time slots automatically.
As a standalone product, Notion Calendar remains useful for general personal scheduling needs. However, integration with the Notion engine allows power users to connect workflows across notes, projects, and now calendars into a single productivity hub.
A “modern & team-friendly” calendar
The startup views the new app as bringing a time management layer to its ecosystem while attracting new users and better retaining existing ones. Priced free initially, Notion continues its strategy of launching robust standalone tools that also enhance its broader offering.
Notion Calendar provides modern, team-friendly calendaring powered by AI meeting scheduling – blending convenience with Notion’s signature flexibility in one package.
The product will initially launch on desktop and iOS with Android support in development. Its feature set looks to address common calendar limitations with trademark Notion approachability.
