MYStartup, partnering with WatchTower and Friends (WTF), has unveiled its Pre-Accelerator Cohort 5 program. This initiative aims to discover and nurture early-stage startups across Malaysia, focusing on tech-driven solutions.
Running from October 2024 to February 2025, the program offers an intensive learning experience to accelerate startup growth.
Bootcamp for future unicorns
Selected founders will dive into a comprehensive curriculum covering crucial topics like business modeling, MVP development, and market validation. The program also introduces an ESG module, aligning startups with sustainable practices to attract investors. Top performers stand to win a share of MYR 35,000 ($8,153) in prize money and a spot in an exclusive fundraising accelerator.
Powering Malaysia’s startup ecosystem
This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s ambitious goal of ranking among the top 20 global startup ecosystems by 2030. MYStartup’s efforts contribute to the Malaysia Startup Ecosystem Roadmap (SUPER) 2021-2030, aiming to create 5,000 startups by 2025 and 10,000 coders by 2030.
Previous cohorts have already produced success stories, including Faradays Energy and Reyhut, showcasing the program’s potential to transform innovative ideas into market-ready solutions.
