From battery boosts to breakdown buddies
Bateriku, the Malaysian roadside assistance startup, has successfully closed a $7.4 million Series B funding round.
The investment, led by KWAP and joined by Gobi Partners, SBI Capital, and VentureTECH, will fuel the company’s expansion of its comprehensive automotive services ecosystem.
A pit stop for every problem
Since its 2014 launch as an on-demand car battery replacement service, Bateriku has evolved into a one-stop shop for drivers in distress.
The company now boasts a 24/7 contact center, connecting users to a vast network of 3,000+ workshop partners, 200 pitstop outlets, and 1,000 trained gig technicians.
Beyond batteries
Bateriku’s offerings have expanded far beyond its initial focus. Today, drivers can access a full range of services including towing, tire patching, fuel top-ups, and even car lockout assistance.
The company has also ventured into the auto parts market, providing a marketplace for vehicle maintenance and upgrades.
