Accredify, a Singapore-founded startup that enables businesses to issue, manage, and verify documents from end to end, has raised a Series A extension from strategic investor Okta.
Founded in 2019, Accredify previously raised a $7M Series A in 2023, co-led by iGlobe Partners and SIG Venture Capital. Okta, the world’s leading independent identity management platform, invested through its venture arm, Okta Ventures.
The 3 Accredify special process
When a company works with Accredify, they creates an identity for the client on the blockchain, establishing a wallet or document store on the blockchain network.
Whenever the company issues a verifiable document with Accredify, the document’s digital fingerprint is captured and stored in the client’s document store on the blockchain.
To verify an Accredified document, the contents of the document are checked against the fingerprint in the document stored on the blockchain to ensure a match.
Proven success across industries and markets
Accredify’s solution has been used commercially by governments and corporations across multiple markets, setting it apart from providers that focus on a single industry.
Notable examples include Singapore’s Ministry of Health for health certifications and Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority for launching verifiable business profiles.
Okta’s investment in Accredify is a testament to the startup’s successful commercial use cases across various industries.
