Bezos’ Space Dream Gets a Customer-First Boost
Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos’ space venture, is looking to close the gap SpaceX under new CEO David Limp. The former Amazon executive plans to infuse the rocket company Amazon’s renowned customer-centric culture, aiming to propel Blue Origin from R&D to rapid manufacturing and launches.
New Glenn: The Next Giant Leap
Limp has set his sights on two main goals for 2024: boosting engine production and successfully launching the New Glenn rocket.
Standing over 320 feet tall, New Glenn is designed to rival SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy reusability. Blue Origin hopes to make history by landing its booster on the first test flight in November.
Embracing the Challenge
The company has dubbed the New Glenn rocket “So You’re Telling Me There’s a Chance,” reflecting its ambitious goal of nailing the landing on the first try.
Limp remains optimistic, stating that even if they don’t stick the landing immediately, they’re prepared to keep pushing forward rapid iterations.
