Startup winter? More like spring cleaning

Jussi Salovaara, Managing Partner at Antler, challenges the doom and gloom narrative surrounding the tech industry.

He urges founders to critically analyze the current state of affairs rather than getting swept up in social media hype.

Salovaara emphasizes that now is actually an excellent time for startups to think globally, provided their solutions fit international markets.

Contrary to popular belief, VCs are ready to invest – they’re just more discerning. Salovaara warns against the trap of overextending runway at the cost of growth.

He highlights Antler’s new Agreement for Rolling Capital (ARC) strategy, offering up to $600,000 in funding for early-stage startups without overdilution.

AI ain’t always the answer

Salovaara cautions against jumping on the AI bandwagon without solving real problems. He advises founders to seek unique use cases, partnering with subject matter experts when necessary.

The key? Experiencing the problem firsthand to understand how AI could revolutionize the solution truly.
