Juicing up for the future
As the Philippines sets ambitious clean energy goals, a local logistics firm, Mober, is poised to lead the charge.
The startup recently secured a $6 million pre-series A investment, led by Singapore’s Clime Capital, to expand its electric fleet and charging infrastructure.
Mober, which currently operates 57 electric trucks and three-wheelers, plans to increase its fleet to 238 vehicles by 2025.
The new funding will also enable the company to build a state-of-the-art 3,000 square meter charging facility in Pasay City, equipped with 10 to 15 direct current fast chargers, bolstering its existing charging capabilities.
Here comes the sustainable solutions
Mober’s EV-powered delivery services have already attracted major clients, including global giants like Ikea, Kuehne+Nagel, Nestle, and Maersk, as well as local firms such as Monde Nissin and SM Retail.
With this latest investment, the startup is well-positioned to drive the Philippines’ transition towards a more sustainable logistics industry, setting the stage for a greener future.
