Pumping iron and pumping up revenue
Indonesian health app Fita has reported an impressive start to 2024, achieving positive EBITDA for three consecutive months from February and a 30% revenue increase compared to January.
Established in 2021 by serial entrepreneur Reynazran Royono, Fita offers exercise guides, healthy recipes, and custom workout plans from over 200 certified coaches to its more than 3 million users.
Fita’s successful subscription model, featuring plans ranging from 15,000 rupiah (US$0.93) to 400,000 rupiah (US$24.73) per month, has attracted investors such as Indonesian telco giant Telkomsel.
Through its investment arm Indico, Telkomsel injected US$1.9 million into Fita in late 2022.
Fita + Telkomsel: Sweating together for a healthier future
Royono stated that Fita has “developed a sustainable business model that not only drives profitability but also lays a solid foundation for our future innovations.”
The company plans to strengthen its partnership with Telkomsel through initiatives like Combo Fit Jamsostek, facilitating collaboration with Indonesia’s social security body, and a joint program combining telecom services with health and fitness offerings.
