Razer’s ready to rumble

Razer, the renowned gaming lifestyle brand, has identified Vietnam as a key market for its hardware business expansion and potential startup investments, according to CEO Min-Liang Tan at the recent Tech in Asia’s Saigon Summit.

Tan highlighted Vietnam’s massive user base, citing a 2021 report by PR firm Vero and research company Decision Lab that indicates approximately one-third of the country’s population plays esports games.

To further establish its presence, Razer announced its first sponsorship deal in Vietnam with Team Flash.

zVentures: the startup investment superhero

Although Razer has not yet invested in any Vietnamese startups, Tan stated that future investments would likely be made through its corporate venture arm, zVentures, which focuses on seed to series A stage startups.

The company is also open to partnerships with Vietnamese companies and brands looking to expand internationally.
