The Swedish furnishings giant is launching a game called The CoWorker, where 10 lucky individuals will earn IKEA’s hourly wage in London of £13.15 (approximately $17) for serving up virtual meatballs or redesigning showroom floors.

Darren Taylor, the country, people, and culture manager for IKEA UK and Ireland, stated that the game serves as an advertisement for career opportunities at IKEA.
“Our coworkers are able to change roles, switch departments, and grow in any direction they choose,” Taylor said, emphasizing the flexibility and growth potential within the company.

The game is open to all, and applications for the paid positions are now available online. Interested players must make it through virtual interviews before the final staff selection.
