- RPG Commerce closes Thousand Miles, Bottom Labs, Eubi brands
- Company likely restructuring after 2022 funding round
- Focus shifts to remaining successful brands
Thousand Miles Bids Farewell
Malaysian apparel and travel brand Thousand Miles, owned by RPG Commerce, has announced its permanent closure after five years of operation.
The brand cited unspecified challenges as the reason for its shutdown, offering customers a final clearance sale with discounts up to 70%.
Sister Brands Follow Suit
Bottom Labs and Eubi, two other apparel brands under RPG Commerce, are also closing down.
Eubi reportedly ceased operations in June 2024, suggesting a broader restructuring within the parent company.
Strategic Pivot for RPG Commerce?
These closures may indicate a strategic shift for RPG Commerce, which raised US$29 million in Series B funding in 2022.
The company appears to be focusing on its potentially more successful brands, Montigo and Cosmic Cookware, aligning with CEO Melvin Chee’s philosophy of continuous innovation and adaptability.
