Founders, roll up your sleeves!Execute, execute, execute

Mark Zuckerberg, the mastermind behind Facebook (now Meta), has been running one of the world’s largest companies for two decades.

In 2023, he declared it a “year of efficiency,” aiming to streamline Meta’s organizational structure by removing layers of middle management.

Zuckerberg believes that a lean management structure is crucial for success.

Founders, roll up your sleeves!

Zuckerberg’s controversial advice for business leaders is to avoid delegating responsibility. He encourages founders to make as many decisions and get involved in as many things as possible.

While not everything will go smoothly in the short term, Zuckerberg believes that learning and repeating the process is key to long-term success.

Jeff Bezos, Zuckerberg has a specific approach to meetings. He prefers to have at least an hour to read pre-meeting materials and think about them, followed by an hour to follow up with different people after the meeting.

This preparation ensures that meetings are productive and efficient.

Execute, execute, execute

Zuckerberg believes that companies often focus too much on competitors and ideas. Instead, he emphasizes the importance of relentless execution.

The ability to efficiently execute and continuously improve is what makes great companies truly great.

Zuckerberg’s famous “Move fast” mantra has evolved over the years, but the core principle remains: act with urgency and remove barriers that hinder progress.
