Mirror, mirror on the Mac

With the upcoming release of macOS Sequoia, Apple is introducing a remarkable Continuity feature that allows users to mirror their iPhone screens directly on their Mac.

This groundbreaking capability will provide developers and anyone with an inaccessible iPhone the ability to showcase apps and seamlessly transition between presentations and live demonstrations.

Privacy safeguards included

The new mirroring functionality takes the integration between iPhone and Mac to new heights. Users will now be able to control their iPhone through the Mac’s trackpad, swiping through the Home Screen and launching apps as if they were native to the computer.

This feature promises to streamline workflows and enhance productivity, particularly for those who frequently toggle between desktop and mobile applications.

For privacy-conscious users, Apple has implemented safeguards to ensure the physical iPhone remains locked while mirrored, preventing unauthorized access.

Additionally, the feature seamlessly integrates iPhone notifications with the Mac’s notification system, allowing users to interact with them directly from their desktop.

The iPhone’s audio will also be transmitted through the Mac, providing a truly immersive experience.
