Pintar’s shopping spree
Indonesian edtech startup Pintar has made a bold move by acquiring three local companies: Gredu, Kerja.io, and Hiringmaps.
This strategic maneuver aims to enhance Pintar’s core workforce development services, particularly in overseas job placement.
The financial details remain under wraps, but this marks Pintar’s first M&A activity since its $3 million funding round in February.
New faces at the table
The acquisitions bring new investors into Pintar’s fold. Intudo Ventures and Vertex Ventures, previously backing Gredu, now join Pintar’s impressive roster of investors. This list already includes heavyweights like AppWorks and Djarum Group’s GDP Venture.
Pintar, formerly known as HarukaEdu, is doubling down on its cross-border initiatives. The company’s CEO, Ray Pulungan, emphasizes that these acquisitions will strengthen Pintar’s ability to place workers globally.
Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Germany, and Hungary are on the radar for potential job placements.
