Education can open doors to new opportunities, so it’s no surprise that investments into edtech companies are on the rise.

Vietnam emerges as a hot market for the sector, raising over US$30 million in the first half of 2023 alone – more than the entire 2022.

Singaporean savant seeks success in Saigon

One edtech startup with eyes on Vietnam is Singapore-based Geniebook, which expanded into the country in 2021. Geniebook’s CEO, Neo Zhizhong, will share his experience venturing into the Vietnamese market at the upcoming Saigon Summit.

Geniebook leverages AI, live and pre-recorded online classes, and chatrooms to deliver personalized education. Its proprietary algorithm uses over 1 million data points to recommend questions tailored to each student’s needs, aiming to provide world-class education at scale.

The startup has witnessed strong user registration, positive feedback, strategic collaborations, and steady revenue growth since its initial foray into the country.
