Fast Food Gets Faster

Swiggy, India’s food delivery giant, has launched Bolt, a service promising meal delivery in just 10 minutes. This move heats up the quick-commerce competition in India’s bustling internet market.

Partnering with over 2,700 restaurants, including global chains like KFC and Starbucks, Swiggy aims to satisfy hunger pangs at lightning speed.

Recipe for Success

Bolt focuses on quick-to-prepare items within a 2-kilometer radius of customers. Rohit Kapoor, Swiggy’s head of food delivery, says the service targets frequently ordered items such coffee, burgers, and biryani.

Currently live in major cities like Bengaluru and Mumbai, Bolt represents Swiggy’s latest innovation in food delivery.

Stirring Up the Market

This launch intensifies the battle in India’s booming quick-commerce sector, which has seen over 100% growth in a year.

Competitors like Zomato’s Blinkit and Tata’s BigBasket are also racing to deliver instant gratification to millions of Indian consumers.

Notably, Swiggy emphasizes that its delivery partners won’t face penalties or receive incentives based on Bolt order timings.
