Young Shoppers Lead the Charge

The Philippines’ mobile commerce market stands poised to hit $11.1 billion by 2025, accounting for 25.9% of digital commerce.

This remarkable projection from UnaCash showcases a 20.4% year-over-year growth from 2024’s expected $9.2 billion mark.

BNPL Takes Center Stage

Buy now, pay later options will drive 30% of mobile commerce volume in 2025. This surge rides on smartphone adoption rates reaching 73.7% in the Philippines, surpassing both global (51.2%) and Southeast Asian (62.1%) averages.

Digital Consumers Shape Future

The country boasts 87.4 million digital commerce users, exceeding the 15+ population by 6%. “Mobile commerce reshapes consumer expectations,” notes UnaCash Product Head Erwin Ocampo, emphasizing how retailers must embrace mobile-first strategies to maintain competitiveness.
