Young Blood, Fresh Vision
Varitha Kiatpinyochai, at just 32 years old, has taken the reins as Lazada Thailand’s new CEO, becoming the company’s youngest and first female chief executive.
With eight years of experience at Lazada under her belt, Kiatpinyochai is set to implement a “customer-first” growth strategy, focusing on enhancing shopping experiences across generations and boosting opportunities for local merchants.
Tech-Driven Shopping Experience
Leveraging Alibaba’s AI technology, Lazada is rolling out innovative features to streamline the shopping process.
These include virtual try-ons for fashion items and AR-powered furniture placement tools.
The platform is also extending its refund period to 30 days and introducing a concierge-like service for frequent shoppers, aiming to maintain its competitive edge in Thailand’s rapidly growing e-commerce market.
Empowering Local Businesses
Kiatpinyochai plans to expand export opportunities for Thai sellers, enabling them to reach customers across five Southeast Asian markets by year-end.
The company is also introducing new e-commerce tools, including the “Lazada Sponsored Media” program in collaboration with Meta, to help sellers market their products beyond the Lazada platform and drive sales growth.
