Apple Vision pro entertainment offerings

Apple outlined extensive entertainment offerings available on day-one with its new Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset shipping February 2nd.

Alongside hardware specs revealed earlier, the $3.5K device will feature 150 native 3D movies, travel assistance features, multiple streaming platforms like Disney+ and IMAX, plus Apple’s own immersive content.

The launch titles

Launch titles include recent blockbusters “Avatar: The Way of Water” and “Top Gun: Maverick” upgraded with spatial 3D, alongside Apple’s curated selection of 8K 360-degree video experiences like the wildlife documentary “Prehistoric Planet.”

A “Travel Mode” aims to enhance journeys by stabilizing visuals when moving.

Ultimate entertainment system

Apple touts the VR/AR hybrid device as the “ultimate entertainment system” spanning gaming, video, communication, and more.

Powered by onboardSpatial Audio, dual micro-OLED displays with Dolby Vision and 23 million pixels, the Vision Pro promises unmatched realism.

Over 1 million existing iOS apps gain compatibility via new App Store category tailored for mixed reality.

And Apple promises additional dedicated experiences from partners launching alongside hardware.

With pre-orders opening on January 19th, Apple stacked a robust content pipeline to showcase the boundary-pushing capabilities of Vision Pro hardware upon arrival in consumer hands.
