Powerhouse move in the metaverse

Animoca Brands and Everest Ventures Group (EVG) announced a strategic partnership. The two Web3 heavyweights aim to strengthen each other’s ecosystems through mutual investments and collaborations.

Animoca Brands invests in several upcoming EVG products, including the OpenSocial Protocol, a developer toolkit for social apps, and Web3 games Legend of Arcadia and Last Odyssey.

Reciprocally, EVG supports various Animoca Brands initiatives like Darewise studio, the chess-based game Anichess, and the Mocaverse network.

Metaverse mashup: a powerhouse duo?

“We believe real use cases and products – not speculation – will drive long-term adoption,” said Allen Ng, EVG’s co-founding CEO.

Animoca Brands boasts $291 million in cash and stablecoins as of March 31, up from $194 million a year prior. Meanwhile, EVG has incubated 10 companies with 300 serial entrepreneurs, engineers, and product managers, collaborating with crypto firms like The Sandbox and Upbit.

This partnership between two Web3 giants could catalyze innovation and adoption in the metaverse space. Industry watchers eagerly anticipate the outcomes of this metaverse mashup.
