Born Ready, a Web3-focused venture fund launched by the cofounders of AI and metaverse platform Futureverse, has partnered with Catalyze Research to create the Catalyze Futureverse Ecosystem Fund.
The $10 million investment vehicle aims to support new businesses in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on Web3, metaverse, AI, and content sectors.
Collaboration within the Futureverse ecosystem
Companies selected for investment will collaborate within the Futureverse ecosystem, which includes The Root Network, a blockchain platform.
Born Ready stated on X (formerly Twitter) that this partnership will “drive exponential growth” of The Root Network and create opportunities for startups in the region, particularly those based in South Korea.

South Korea’s growing metaverse market
According to Research and Markets, an intelligence firm, the spending value in South Korea’s metaverse market is projected to reach $43.4 million by 2030.
Futureverse, founded in 2016 by Aaron McDonald and Shara Senderoff, launched Born Ready, a $50 million fund and venture studio, in August 2023. The company raised $54 million in a series A round led by 10T Holdings and joined by Ripple in July 2022.

Catalyze Research, established in 2017, is a South Korea-based consulting firm specializing in the blockchain industry, having previously invested in Web3 projects such as Matic Network (now Polygon), Biconomy, and Numbers Protocol.
