Compact and PowerfulGlobal ConnectivityAddressing Global Climate ChallengesTack One’s Mission

Singapore-based global location intelligence company Tack One has emerged as a beacon of hope in the face of climate challenges.

Their latest creation, the Tack EVO FloodFinder, is a testament to the power of technology harnessed for the greater good.

In a world where seven billion people in the Asia Pacific have endured water-related disasters in the last half-century, early flood detection is not just a luxury; it’s a necessity.

Tack One’s solution is more than just a device; it’s a lifeline for communities in the path of natural disasters. This is the story of how Tack One aims to revolutionize extreme weather preparedness.

Compact and Powerful

The Tack EVO FloodFinder, housed in a cube measuring just eight centimeters across, requires no additional equipment or infrastructure for installation.

Once set up, it autonomously monitors water levels, triggering real-time alerts when flood conditions are detected.

This innovation couldn’t come at a more crucial time. The world is grappling with the impact of the climate crisis, particularly in Asia Pacific, where nearly seven billion people have been affected by water-related disasters in the last 50 years.

Early flood detection is vital, especially as one in four people in the region will be over 60 years old by 2050, requiring sufficient evacuation time.

Global Connectivity

What makes the Tack EVO FloodFinder stand out is its provision of uninterrupted flood detection signals and data.

Its independent internet connectivity works with existing mobile networks, making it a viable option for water-related disaster management even in developing parts of the world.

As part of Inneon Technologies’ CoInnovation program, Tack One partnered with the semiconductor giant to develop this groundbreaking device. In just under ten months, they harnessed Inneon’s latest energy-efficient, high-precision, and waterproof sensor technology to create the product.

Addressing Global Climate Challenges

Tack One’s CEO, Justin Zhang, believes in leveraging technology for good. He notes the increasing frequency of extreme weather incidents and the devastating flood disasters affecting both rural and urban areas.

The Tack EVO FloodFinder simplifies flood monitoring and makes it more accessible, even though developing such a high-precision, autonomous device was no easy task.

To implement the Tack EVO FloodFinder on a larger scale and benefit more areas, Tack One is actively engaging with regional and provincial government agencies and infrastructure partners.

Discussions are already underway to deploy this innovative device in flood-prone areas, starting with Nonthaburi, Thailand, in late 2023. Tack One has also received inquiries from around the world, including developed economies like Germany and South Korea, emphasizing the global need for such a solution.

Tack One’s Mission

Tack One’s core business model provides end-to-end solutions, from the physical device to cloud infrastructure services, under the Solution-as-a-Service (Solaas) framework. Their mission is to make high-precision solutions like the Tack EVO FloodFinder affordable and easily deployable.

Currently, Tack One is in the process of raising a US$2 million Series A funding round.

This investment will support the widespread deployment of its location intelligence systems and technology in real-world applications and commercialization, ultimately transforming how we live, protect lives, and improve various commercial operations.
