Powering up partnerships
Clime Capital, a Singapore-based fund manager, has announced an investment in Upgrade Energy Philippines (UGEP) through its South East Clean Energy Fund II (SEACEF II).
The fund can invest up to $10 million in this key player in the Philippine solar project landscape.
Brightening the future
The investment aims to accelerate UGEP’s solar energy infrastructure deployment, including projects for commercial and industrial customers and utility-scale initiatives.
UGEP, a pioneer in solar leasing, is poised to surpass 50 MWp of installed commercial and industrial solar capacity by year-end.
Illuminating sustainability
UGEP’s commitment to global ESG standards and gender diversity aligns perfectly with Clime Capital’s mission.
This partnership not only represents a financial investment but also a shared vision for a sustainable energy transition in Southeast Asia, supporting the Philippines’ ambitious renewable energy targets for 2030 and 2040.
