  • Singaporean celebs partner with IdoLive to create AI avatars for marketing and live streaming.
  • The platform enables realistic digital representations to communicate efficiently.
  • Some celebrities believe perspectives on AI will shift as it becomes pervasive.

Singapore startup IdoLive has launched Southeast Asia’s first digital AI celebrity marketing solution.

The platform creates realistic AI avatars of actual human celebrities like Gurmit Singh, Li Nanxing, and Vivian Lai for livestreams, endorsements, and broadcasting.

Beyond physical limitations

“With AI, it can replace limits of our physical strength and time,” said actor Li Nanxing, highlighting the avatars’ capability to communicate efficiently without scheduling constraints. However, the AI bots require dedicated computing resources, increasing costs.

While some human livestreamers doubt AI’s ability to genuinely connect with audiences, celebrities like Gurmit Singh believe perspectives may shift as AI becomes pervasive, viewing it as a “clever job” rather than an “easy” one.
