Nvidia has joined forces with Singapore-based venture capital firm Tribe to launch Southeast Asia’s first AI startup accelerator.

The $3 million project, now accepting applications, aims to support AI startups and foster a thriving AI ecosystem in the region.

Through a four-month initial program, 15 startups will receive technical insights from Nvidia and participate in training workshops developed in collaboration with Tribe.

The program will cover the startups’ GPU needs and offer funding support to select startups through the Startup SG Tech scheme.

Nvidia and Tribe will also assist startups in gaining accreditation from Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority, making them eligible for government and large enterprise contracts.

The partnerships come amidst Singapore’s rapidly growing AI sector, which is attracting attention from global giants like IBM and Google, who have recently announced collaborations with AI Singapore to improve large language models and datasets for the region.
