Meta has unveiled its AI Accelerator program, aiming to supercharge startups across the Asia Pacific region. The initiative focuses on integrating Llama, Meta’s open-source AI model, into products developed by these companies and developers.
Singapore Takes Center Stage
The program’s launch event at Meta’s APAC headquarters in Singapore coincided the Meta APAC AI Accelerator Finals. Singapore’s digital development and information minister, Josephine Teo, and Meta’s global affairs president, Nick Clegg, graced the occasion. Clegg announced plans for a Singapore-focused incubator program to boost 100 enterprises’ understanding of generative AI and Llama.
Nurturing AI Innovation
The initiative will connect 20 selected startups mentors, helping them develop customized Llama-powered solutions. This program aligns its goals the Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0, promoting AI adoption in businesses. It showcases Meta’s commitment to fostering AI innovation in the region.
