Chatbot charms the subcontinentCultural calibration and global growth

Meta’s AI chatbot has found its biggest fan base in India, according to CFO Susan Li.

This impressive feat comes mere months after the product’s launch in the country, piggybacking on WhatsApp’s massive 500 million Indian user base.

Chatbot charms the subcontinent

The AI assistant, available across Meta’s platforms, has processed billions of queries since its debut.

WhatsApp users in India have shown particularly high engagement and retention rates, solidifying the country’s position as Meta AI’s largest market.

Cultural calibration and global growth

Despite initial hiccups in cultural sensitivity, Meta has fine-tuned its AI for the Indian market. The company recently expanded language support and rolled out Meta AI to 22 countries.

Meanwhile, Meta’s other ventures, including Threads and Facebook, continue to show promising growth among global users.
