Amazon has introduced Video Generator, an AI-powered tool that transforms single product images into video showcases.
Unveiled at the Accelerate conference, this innovative feature is currently available exclusively to select U.S. advertisers for Sponsored Brands campaigns.

The new tool generates 6-9 second clips at 720p resolution, featuring two scenes with headlines, background music, and a call to action. Advertisers can customize fonts, soundtracks, and brand logos. Amazon claims the AI-generated videos leverage unique retail insights to bring product stories to life effectively.
Coming soon to a screen near you
Jay Richman, Amazon Ads VP, emphasized that Video Generator will undergo fine-tuning in the coming months before a wider release. The company also introduced “live image,” a feature that creates animated GIFs from still frames.
These developments mark Amazon’s entry into the burgeoning field of AI-generated video, joining tech giants like Google and startups such Runway and Luma in this rapidly evolving space.
