Local beauty store empowerment
Indian beauty e-commerce platform BuyEazzy closed a $4.2 million Series A funding round this week to boost its mission of empowering neighborhood shops to sell beauty products online.
The round was led by Info Edge Ventures with participation from existing backers.
Founded in 2021, BuyEazzy enables small local stores and salons to establish digital shops on its platform easily and in minutes.
The startup aims to increase beauty e-commerce penetration in India’s underserved Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities by tapping into highly trusted community relationships.
Hyperlocal e-commerce
BuyEazzy says affiliated neighborhood retailers can expand income by 40-50% using its app.
The company operates in 10 smaller cities across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu but plans to reach 40 cities and 300 million consumers.
Trust-driven growth
“We have an ambition to take e-commerce to the most remote corners of India,” said co-founder Rahul Aggarwal.
The fresh capital will fuel BuyEazzy’s geographic and user expansion by empowering hyperlocal retailers.
As India’s beauty e-commerce market boom continues, BuyEazzy uniquely taps the trust of local stores to unlock underserved demand and bring digital access.
