Reverse age
Biotech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson is spending up to $2 million to reverse his biological age through an intensive health program called Project Blueprint. Central to that quest is a strict plant-based diet engineered for longevity.
In his late 40s, the centimillionaire amassed a fortune with companies like payments processor Braintree before selling them. But years of poor diet habits like late-night carb and sugar binges took their toll, he said.
Detailed recipes
Now, Johnson consumes around 2,000 calories daily, starting mornings with a nutrient-packed “Green Giant” smoothie. He shared step-by-step videos detailing two other go-to recipes he claims combat aging.
For lunch, Johnson often has his “Super Veggie” bowl, made in under 20 minutes. It’s a mélange of lentils, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, and spices – providing a hefty vegetable intake to power through the afternoon.
He says it takes up to 34 minutes to finish, allowing time for proper digestion. When pressed, he’ll opt for a blended version instead.
How about dessert?
Johnson still makes room for dessert, frequently blending a “Nutty Pudding” with ground nuts, berries, plant milk, and pomegranate juice.
Topped off with chia seeds and pea protein, it’s the perfect way to end his 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. eating window.
The recipes form part of a rigorous anti-aging plan that Johnson claims has already reversed some biological markers into his 20s. But even his last bite of dessert comes tinged with sadness at another day’s youth- chasing efforts drawing to a close.
