The GPT Store is Coming, and Creators Can Cash InOpenAI’s GPT Store setting itself up as the dominant AI platform

OpenAI is letting all you aspiring AI developers off the leash with GPTs – build your own mini ChatGPT and sell it in their new GPT Store! cha-ching 💰

Whether you want a custom cooking bot or your own personal fantasy loremaster, you can whip up a specialized GPT with zero coding required. Just chat with ChatGPT and describe your dream AI. Easy peasy AI squeezy!

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says this makes AI “accessible to everyone” – unless you’re on Android we guess.

The GPT Store is Coming, and Creators Can Cash In

The best part? You can make bank by publishing your GPT in the GPT Store coming later this month. Users will search, rank, and even pay for your bot baby. Time to cash in on this AI app store!

Altman says they’ll pay creators “based on how many people are using your GPT.” Hear that sound? It’s thousands of people rushing to build a digital Tamagotchi clone.

No word yet on taking a cut via in-app purchases. But for now it’s all revenue sharing, with OpenAI taking the standard 30% App Store cut we’re sure.

OpenAI’s GPT Store setting itself up as the dominant AI platform

OpenAI trotted out GPTs from Code.org and Canva, so plebs will have to hustle for bot fame. But if your AI side gig takes off, you may be able to quit your day job and pimp bots full-time!

The GPT Store puts OpenAI on a collision course with Apple and Microsoft though. Apple won’t be happy about un-App Storing their cut, and Microsoft’s big Copilot launch is awkwardly timed.

But OpenAI is clearly setting itself up as the dominant AI platform, with Satya Nadella’s Microsoft left playing sidekick. Awkward!

So all you wannabe bot-preneurs get creating! With the GPT Store, anyone can leverage ChatGPT into a cash machine. The AI gold rush is on!
