Hefty Price Tag for Loose Lips

Contestants on MrBeast’s upcoming Amazon Prime Video show “Beast Games” face steep consequences for breaking silence. Business Insider obtained documents revealing a $500,000 penalty per breach before the finale airs, dropping to $100,000 afterward. The high-stakes competition show debuts Thursday, offering participants a shot at a $5 million prize.

The leaked preliminary round paperwork includes some eyebrow-raising terms. Contestants must accept potential public ridicule, agree to hidden camera surveillance, and participate without compensation beyond possible prizes. Entertainment lawyer Daniel J. Ain calls it a “contestant agreement on steroids.”

The show’s preliminary round in Las Vegas, which attracted over 2,000 hopefuls, already stirred controversy. The New York Times reported concerns from participants about insufficient food and medical care during the event. A source close to production described the Vegas segment merely a “promo shoot” unaffiliated Amazon.
