Stream Team Takes a Hit

Netflix’s live streaming capabilities stumbled under unprecedented viewer demand during Friday’s highly anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Numbers Pack a Punch

The streaming giant reported 60 million households tuned in to watch the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer defeat the 58-year-old boxing legend.

Peak viewership hit 65 million concurrent streams, triggering widespread technical issues across 50 countries.

The Road Ahead

Netflix must address these technical challenges before upcoming major live events, including two NFL Christmas Day games and WWE Raw in January.

The platform’s previous live programming hurdles, like the “Love is Blind” reunion delay, highlight the need for infrastructure improvements.
