AI Takes Notes So Bill Doesn’t Have To

Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates revealed his go-to AI tool for managing his packed schedule. Gates frequently uses the AI summary feature in Microsoft Teams to digest meeting content.

This AI assistant generates concise recaps and allows him to ask follow-up questions about discussions.

Meetings Eat Up Work Hours

A recent survey found employees spend over a third of their time in meetings, costing companies around $29,000 per worker annually.

AI tools like Microsoft’s Copilot aim to reduce this burden by automating note-taking and summarization tasks.

Time-Saving Tech Gains Traction

Gates isn’t alone in embracing AI for productivity. A HubSpot study reported workers save up to two hours daily using AI for scheduling, notes, and data entry.

Some Copilot users even skip meetings entirely, relying on AI summaries instead.
