Swipe to rate products
Google is rolling out an update that simplifies the process of finding personalized shopping results for users.
The new feature allows users to rate different products using a thumbs up, thumbs down, or Tinder-like swipe gesture when searching for apparel, shoes, and accessories. After rating a selection of products, Google will display personalized results tailored to the user’s preferences.
Managing preferences for users
Suppose users accidentally give a thumbs-up to a product they don’t like or wish to opt out of personalized shopping results.
In that case, they can manage their preferences by tapping the three-dot menu next to a result and navigating to personalization options in the “About this result” panel.
The new feature is currently rolling out to all U.S. shoppers using mobile browsers and the Google app, with no information on when or if it will expand to other countries.
